Your website

Every restaurant on taula.ai has its own website, and you build it yourself in two minutes: while signing up or, later on, from Website in the panel. It lives at yourname.taula.ai, has the booking button and the QR menu wired in, and rebuilds itself every time you change your hours, phone number or menu. Once it is live, you never touch it.

To see one: can-sanfeliu.taula.ai, the website of Can Sanfeliu, a restaurant we made up to show it off.

What it is and where it lives

One long page, made to be read on a phone, in Catalan and Spanish: a cover with your photo, your story, the menu, the dining room, opening hours and where you are, the booking form, and the legal pages the law requires (legal notice, privacy and cookies, with you as the owner).

Addresshttps://yourname.taula.ai. The name is the same as your booking page's (taula.ai/r/yourname).
Where it comes fromYour Google listing (name, address, phone, hours), the menu you keep in the panel, the photos you upload and, if you already have one, the text of your current website.
The booking buttonGoes to your taula.ai diary, like the one on the booking page.
The menuIt is the same QR menu. Change it once and it shows in both places.
Hosting, certificate and backupsWe pay for them and look after them. They are part of the subscription.

There is no cookie banner because it sets no cookies. The Google map only loads if the guest taps it.

Who builds it

You do, in two minutes. You don't need to know anything about websites or wait for anyone: you generate it, look at it and, if you like it, publish it. It happens in the last step of sign-up, Your website. If you press I'll do it later there, it is waiting for you whenever you want under Website, in the panel menu.

If you like, we help. If you would rather we build it for you, write to hola@taula.ai or reply to the welcome email, and we get on with it.

If your website is custom-built

If we built your website to measure and it lives on your own domain, under Website you will see its address and that we manage it. Nothing can be generated or published from there: that way nothing can overwrite it.

How it's built, step by step

  1. Add your menu and photos. Not required, but the more we know, the better it turns out. The menu goes in QR menu or in the second step of sign-up; the photos, as explained below.
  2. Generate it. Under Your website (at sign-up) or Website (in the panel) we write the copy in Catalan and Spanish and pick the colours and typeface from your restaurant and your photos. It takes a couple of minutes.
  3. Look at it. We show it to you exactly as it will look, on a phone and on a computer. It is a preview: it does not show up on Google, but it is not password-protected either, so anyone who knows the address can open it. If you don't like it, regenerate it.
  4. Publish it. Press Publish, fill in the legal details and it is live at yourname.taula.ai. If now isn't the moment, press I'll do it later: it is saved and you publish it whenever you want from Website.
Only with your account up and running

The website is generated from your account and while the service is running: during the trial month or with your subscription up to date. If the service is paused (the trial ended without payment or an unpaid invoice has paused it), set up payment under Subscription and try again. If the panel ever tells you no more can be generated right now, try again the next day.

The photos

How to upload them

From the panel: under Website, or in the second step of sign-up, Photos and menu. Pick them from your phone or computer and they upload straight away.

  • Up to six photos, as JPEG, PNG or WebP.
  • No need to shrink them: the panel resizes them before uploading. Uploaded straight from your phone, they are fine as they are.
  • iPhone photos copied to a computer (HEIC) do not open in every browser. If the panel says it cannot open a photo, save it as JPG and try again.
  • To remove one, you remove it from the same place.
  • If you upload them before generating the site, the colours will match them.
  • If the site is already live, it rebuilds itself with the new photos within minutes.

There is no need to email them to us any more.

Yours, full stop

The site uses your photos: the ones you took or a photographer took for you with permission to publish. Never photos from Google, from someone else's Instagram or from the internet: they are not ours to publish, and a rights claim is expensive. From your Google listing we read the name, address, phone and hours; the photos and reviews, no.

What works well:

  • Three to six photos: the front or the dining room, two or three dishes, the team if you like.
  • Landscape, in natural light, at least 1,600 px wide.

Publishing it: the legal details

When you press Publish, we ask for three details about the business: company name, tax ID and registered address. They go in the site's legal notice, which has to say who the owner is: the law requires it and, without them, the site cannot be published. You fill them in once and, if they ever change, you correct them under Website.

Once it is live, the site is at https://yourname.taula.ai. If you want to take it down, press Unpublish: the address then shows a page saying the site is not available. A site you took down yourself does not come back on its own; you publish it again whenever you want.

Regenerating it

If you don't like how it turned out, or one day you want a different feel, press Generate again: new copy and a new combination of colours and typeface. The previous ones are lost.

  • If you haven't published it yet, you see the new version in the preview and publish it when you like it.
  • If it is already live, there is no review step: within a minute the live site has the new copy and colours, and that is what everyone sees. The panel warns you before it does it.
  • Included: the first time and three more regenerations. The button tells you how many you have left.
  • From the fourth on, each regeneration has a fixed price that we quote in writing before doing it.

Rebuild is something else: it puts the site together again with the same copy and your current details (photos, hours, menu), and never counts as a regeneration. You rarely need it, because the site already rebuilds itself.

If what you want is a site designed from scratch, with your designer or with us, that is the Custom plan.

Getting started

Once your site exists, the Getting started list shows at the top of Bookings: the four things that make the site bring you real bookings.

The list saysHow it gets ticked
Publish your websiteOn its own, when you publish it.
Download the menu QR code (and put it on the tables)On its own, when you download it in QR menu.
Add your booking link to GoogleFollow the guide and press I've done it.
Get your first bookingOn its own, when one comes in.

When all four are done, the list goes away.

What you can change, and how

Everything day-to-day you change from the panel, and the site rebuilds itself within minutes. No need to tell us.

You want to change…WhereWhat happens on the site
Opening hoursSettings → Shifts and hoursThe new shifts show, with their entry times.
Holidays and closuresSettings → Closed daysOn those days the site says "Closed" and takes no bookings.
Phone, public name and addressSettings → Public detailsThey change in the header, the footer and the map.
Menu and pricesQR menuThe site's menu is the same one: it changes instantly.
PhotosWebsite: add or remove them (how). The new photos show.
Company name, tax ID and registered addressWebsiteThey change in the legal notice.
A notice ("closed for holidays 10–24 August")Mark the days under Closed days. If you also want the site to say it in words, write to us and we add it.The text shows on the cover for as long as you want.
Shifts and tables rule the site

If you set an entry time and it does not show on the site, it is not the site: there is no free table at that time. See Shifts and hours.

What does not change: the design

The colours and the typeface are chosen when it is generated, from your restaurant and your photos, and the structure is the same for every site. They cannot be changed by hand from the panel: that is what keeps the site consistent and stops a change from breaking it. If you want a different feel, regenerate it.

Your own domain

  • Basic: the site lives at yourname.taula.ai.
  • Pro: the site lives on your own domain (yourrestaurant.com) and we point it for you. If you already have one, tell us where it is registered and we tell you the two records to change. If you do not, we register it in your name. The domain registration is paid separately, every year, at the registrar's own price: we make nothing on it.

A domain registered in your name is yours, while you are a customer and afterwards. If you leave, you take it with you and point it wherever you like.

Put the site and the booking button on your Google listing

Most of your guests find you on Google or Maps before anywhere else. Having the site and the booking button there is the change they notice most.

  1. Go to google.com/business with the Google account that manages the restaurant's listing. If you search for your restaurant on Google while signed in to that account, the listing's panel also appears at the top.
  2. Press Edit profile and, under Contact information, in the Website field enter https://yourname.taula.ai. Save.
  3. In the same profile, look for Bookings (or Booking links) and enter your booking page's link: https://taula.ai/r/yourname. Save. The details and what that button does are in Bookings from Google.
  4. Google takes between a few hours and a few days to show the changes, and sometimes asks you to confirm you are the owner.

The exact wording of Google's menus changes from time to time; the two fields you are after are always the website and the booking link.

Once that's done, press I've done it in the Getting started list.

They are two different fields

The site already has the booking form, but Google's booking link must be taula.ai/r/yourname: that is what makes Google's Book button go straight to your diary.

If you leave

The site is tied to the subscription. Plainly:

  • It is a rental, not a purchase. While you pay, it stays published, up to date and hosted. The day the subscription ends (you cancel, the trial ends without payment or a payment fails), the site stops being published. At the address there is a page saying the site is not available. If you pay again, it comes back on its own.
  • The site is not yours. The template, the code, the design, the generated copy and the yourname.taula.ai subdomain belong to taula.ai (Joan Sanfeliu Vilarrasa, Spanish tax ID 79279716G), its sole owner. You hold a non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use it, for as long as the subscription lasts.
  • What is yours: the copy you gave us, the photos, the menu, your brand and logo, and your own domain registered in your name. They are yours before, during and after.
  • Nothing is transferred. When it ends there is no handover of the site, the code or any other material of the service, and no compensation. The site cannot be bought or moved to another host. Of your own content (copy, photos and menu) we give you a copy if you ask within 30 days.
  • Use against the law or the Terms: we can unpublish it.

That is what the Terms of Service say, which you accepted at sign-up. Here it is in plain words.

Plans and the booking limit

Plan prices are at taula.ai/en/pricing. Basic includes up to 60 online bookings a month, counted from November 2026: from when, how they're counted, what happens if you go over and how you change plan are in Subscription and invoices.
