Signing up and the free month
Two ways in, same result
- You sign up yourself at app.taula.ai with an email and password, or with the Google button. Sign-up is three screens, and by the end you have your booking page. The menu and the website you can do there and then, or leave for later.
- We set it up for you. If you'd rather not touch anything, you tell us your hours, tables and menu, and ten minutes later the account is ready.
Either way the account starts with every service switched on —bookings, QR menu and your website— and with a free month already running.
Sign-up, step by step
1. Your restaurant
Find your Google listing: type the name and the town (for example, Can Sanfeliu Sabadell) or paste the Google Maps link. We bring in the name, phone, address and opening hours, and you confirm or correct them.
This is also where you choose the restaurant's address on taula.ai: yourname.taula.ai
for the website and taula.ai/r/yourname for the booking page. We suggest one based on the
name; you can change it if you want it shorter or if it is already taken.
If Google can't find it, press I can't find it, I'll type it in and fill in the details by hand.
Your Google opening hours become your booking shifts. You fine-tune them later in Shifts and hours.
2. Photos and menu
Optional, but it is what makes the website look good:
- Photos: up to six of your own photos of the place and the dishes. Never from Google or the internet (why).
- Menu: upload the PDF or a photo of the menu and we fill it in for you (how it works).
If you don't have them to hand, skip the step. You can do it later from the panel.
3. Your website
With everything you gave us, we generate the website and show it to you exactly as it will look. It takes a couple of minutes. Then you have three buttons:

Whether you publish it or not, when you finish you land in the panel. If you'd rather we build the website for you, reply to the welcome email.
If you close the browser or lose the connection, you don't start from scratch: when you come back, you carry on from the step you were on.
At taula.ai/en/your-website we explain how it works, with screenshots of an example site, but no website is generated there. Yours is created here, in the last step of sign-up or later under Website: first you open the account, which is free during the trial month, and then you generate it.
When you're done, the next step is getting set up: shifts and notifications.
An account you open yourself starts by capacity: for each shift you say how many people fit, with no floor plan or tables, which is why there is no The room in the menu. If you would rather work with tables, switch in Settings → How you handle bookings; nothing is lost.
What the free month actually is
A full month with everything working for real. It isn't a demo or a cut-down version:
- No card needed to start.
- Nothing is charged during the trial. If you set up payment during it, the first charge comes when it ends; with less than 48 hours left, the same day (details).
- Nothing is cut down: everything works as it does when you pay, from day one.
- Bookings taken during the trial are real bookings, from your real guests.
The panel always shows how many days are left, top right and on the Subscription screen.
What happens when it ends

Paused doesn't mean deleted. Your bookings, guests, menu and website are all still there. Add a card or set up direct debit and everything comes back.
If you're carrying on, add your payment details a few days before the trial ends. That way there's no day where your booking page is switched off.
